Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are relieved to hear in the Daily Star that their unwanted defender Micah Richards is set to snub Chelsea and Liverpool to join Inter Milan.
He is currently out loan to Fiorentina and with his contract set to expire at the end of season, it seems as though he has managed to settle into life in Italy.
Many expected Chelsea or Liverpool to capitalise on his tough situation at the Etihad Stadium but reports suggest that he wants to link up with his former manager Roberto Mancini at the San Siro.
A permanent move from City this season has always had a cloud over it because FIFA rules do not allow players playing for more than two clubs in a single season.
Richards appeared from the bench in the Community Shield defeat to Arsenal before the start of the season and of course Fiorentina but Inter are trying to find a loophole by saying that it was a friendly rather than a competitive game.
