Exciting transfer report for Liverpool fans as £135m duo could join imminent arrival

It’s been a wonderful start to the season for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, despite a relatively difficult time of things in the market.

With Naby Keita now arriving next summer, our resident Reds are worried about the fact their squad may not be strong enough to battle the likes of Chelsea and the two Manchester sides.

However, reports from the Sun have certainly helped ease the concern on that front. Indeed, they claim the Merseyside giants are ready to splash another £135m to improve his ranks between now and the end of the window.

Both Virgil van Dijk and Thomas Lemar are understood to be targets at Anfield, despite the reluctance of both Southampton and Monaco to sell their stars.

The former has been touted as a target for months now, though the Reds were forced to drop their interest in him, while the latter is already said to have been the subject of two failed bids.

Still, Jurgen Klopp is thought to be ready to take his spending pass the £200m mark in order to strengthen his ranks, much to the delight of the punters propping up our bar.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Signing the pair would give Liverpool perhaps the best XI in the Premier League, made only stronger by Keita’s imminent arrival.

Perhaps even Philippe Coutinho would struggle to get into that team…
