The ‘Gers were already 1-0 ahead through James Tavernier’s effort when, in stoppage time, Roofe picked up the ball just outside his own penalty area. From there, he dribbled past three players before unleashing a shot from just inside his own half. Incredibly, it flew over the opposing goalkeeper’s head and into the net, giving the ‘Gers a 2-0 victory in the process.

The 54-time Scottish champions’ official Twitter account has shared a video with a different camera angle of the goal and the footage is every bit as spectacular. This has delighted many of the club’s supporters and they took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on clip – one fan even called it “stunning”.
