‘Fantastic’, ‘Love that’ - Tottenham fans react on Twitter to exciting contract reports

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely buzzing after reading a story in The Telegraph that claims Mauricio Pochettino is in line for a huge new deal at Tottenham, along with star players, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son, Jan Vertonghen and Hugo Lloris.

The next few months are shaping up to be exciting ones for Tottenham Hotspur. The club have an FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United to look forward to on the 21st April at Wembley and after Sunday’s historic win at Stamford Bridge, it’s only a matter of time until Tottenham mathematically confirm their spot in the Premier League top four. Factor into that the supposed new contracts that will be coming in the direction of Spurs star men and there’ll be some very happy Spurs fans propping our bar up.

There has been some unrest among the Spurs fans when the future’s of Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose are mentioned, with the pair being absolutely crucial to the club’s successes over the last two seasons. However, with Pochettino at the helm and with the squad performing miracles on the pitch as they head into a new chapter of history in their new stadium next season, it’s unlikely that the fans will be too hung up on the sale of two first-teamers who will no doubt command sizeable fees.
