Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that their Portuguese winger, Daniel Candeias, has agreed a two and a half year extension to his contract at Rangers. The 30-year-old nomad finally seems to have found a club for the long-term after a number of short stays on loan over Europe in his career.
Thank you for the trust. I am very happy to continue to be part of this huge club for more two and a half years #WATP pic.twitter.com/ZPfXDDFpjQ

The Gers propping our bar up are buzzing at the news that Candeias will be staying at the club longer, as the winger has made an appearance in all but one of Rangers games in the Scottish Premier League games this season. The former Porto and Benfica man has had a hand in 17 goals (six goals and eleven assists) in his 36 appearances for the Glaswegian club this campaign, more recently scoring against Celtic in the 3-2 loss at Ibrox.
Our resident Bluenoses have quickly taken to their Portuguese wing-wizard, as he looks to help the Ibrox faithful enjoy a strong finish to the season. Rangers’ number 21 will be hoping he can add some silverware to what has already been a successful first season for him in Scotland, as the Gers face their age-old rivals, Celtic, in the final Old Firm of the season next month for a place in the Scottish Cup final.
