Fitness boost could have huge impact for Man United at crucial time

Life amongst the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern has been pretty great recently.

Indeed, with Jose Mourinho’s side sitting top of the pile right now, the punters propping up our bar are absolutely delighted about their start to the campaign.

So, as if things weren’t good enough already, reports from the Daily Telegraph have our resident Red Devils dancing in delirious delight. They claim the club hope to have Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in time for their busy festive period, a huge boost to everyone involved with the club.

Though Romelu Lukaku is certainly impressing, having the superstar Swede back in time for their rush of games over the course of Christmas and New Year. United play Leicester, Burnley, Southampton and Everton between 23 Dec – 1st Jan, a majorly busy period for Mourinho’s men.

Should he be in contention for those games, it’d mean around an eight-month lay off for the 35-year-old forward and there is thought to be a sense of optimism that he could well be.

Ibrahimovic is said to have impressed the medics and physiotherapists in regards to his recovery at Carrington which is music to the ears of United-mad punters.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Ibrahimovic’s return will be a huge boost to United, one that could just be enough to push them over the line for a league title.
