On 30 August 2017, West Bromwich Albion completed the loan signing of Grzegorz Krychowiak from Paris Saint-Germain.
At the time, Tony Pulis had managed to pull off arguably one of the biggest coups of that summer transfer window by bringing the Poland international to The Hawthorns.
Having joined the Ligue One side a year earlier, things had not worked out for him in France under Unai Emery, which led to him arriving at The Baggies.
Fans were understandably shocked and surprised over the deal as many had felt Krychowiak was a huge name and would have attracted interest from other sides.
However, plenty of them were delighted with the signing and took to Twitter to announce their delight with the acquisition…

But, fast-forward to the present day, and the 28-year-old is now out on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow, whilst West Brom are in the Championship.
Things obviously did not go to plan for Krychowiak at The Hawthorns, as the Baggies struggled to get to grips with the rest of the competition in the Premier League.
The Poland international made 31 appearances across all competitions for the Midlands outfit in a season that saw Pulis, Alan Pardew and Darren Moore all have spells as manager at some point, with the latter still in charge.
In fact, under Moore, he only managed to get a handful of minutes as he continued to fail to impress with his performances.
For a player that would have brought so much promise to the club, fans will have been disappointed that he turned into a huge flop.
