The Transfer Tavern is a hive of activity once more today and with the fans enjoying a few pints discussions are about relegation, places in Europe, and potential champions.
But many are discussing an Italian legends view of his favourite Premier League side, which includes players from a variety of clubs.
Players from Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are included but a bitter blow to Manchester United fans is that not a single one of their players has made the cut.
The United fans in The Tavern are not surprised as they have not been impressed with any of their squad themselves so far this season, but this has not stopped them receiving a lot of stick from those represented in Pirlo’s eleven.
Our landlord has had a good look through the eleven and agrees with most of the choices Pirlo’s made and thinks that they would prove a formidable outfit in the Premier League.

Joe Hart
England and Manchester City Hart is Pirlo’s chosen goalkeeper. The big shot stopper has impressed massively over the last few years and played a major role in City’s title wins, as well as being a stalwart for his national side.
His form this season seems to have dipped a little but on his day he is still one of the best in the Premier League.
Branislav Ivanovic
On the right side of defence, Pirlo’s gone for the dependable Ivanovic of Chelsea. Ivanovic has become a firm favourite with the fans at Stamford Bridge since arriving at the club.
He was a key component in last season’s championship winning side, but is another whose form seems to have dipped along with the rest of the Chelsea squad in this season of struggle.
Vincent Kompany
Manchester City and Belgium captain Kompany is the next player selected at the heart of his defence.
Kompany is a no nonsense old fashioned defender, who is not afraid to get stuck in and wind the opposition’s forwards up.
The Belgian is also good at the other end of the field during set pieces and has been known for scoring with some great efforts on many occasions.
John Terry
Not everyone’s cup of tea but there can be no doubts about the qualities the Chelsea man has been known for throughout his career. Another known for his hard tackling, he has also been spotted winging up opposition forward’s during his career.
Terry has suffered a bit this season his legs appear to have gone, which has resulted in the defender mistiming a few more tackles this season, and was quoted last week as stating that his contract will not be renewed at the end of the season.
Nacho Monreal
The Spanish left back is a great addition to Pirlo’s back line. He signed for Arsenal during the summer of 2013 and has gone on from strength to strength, as Arsenal look as though they have finally got someone who can defend and attack well down the left flank.
At 29, Monreal is just coming to the peak of his career and if he carries on the form he is showing at present Kieran Gibbs is going to find it hard to dislodge him from the starting lineup.
Kevin De Bruyne
The Belgian was no stranger to Premier League fans having previously had a lack of opportunity with Chelsea, but he has not looked back since joining Manchester City during the summer transfer window.
De Bruyne has been in the form of his life and has made numerous assists from the right since joining, but was unfortunately injured during last months Capital One Cup Semi Final and will miss around 6 weeks of action.
In 19 league appearances since joining City from Wolfsburg De Bruyne has bagged himself five goals, a decent haul.
Yaya Toure
The Ivorian international is on of two central midfielders picked in Pirlo’s lineup.
Toure can cover the defence well with his long ranging runs and tackling ability, but he is also known for scoring the spectacular goal and isn’t afraid to try his luck from range.
The 32-year-old has been with City since 2010 and has been a part of City’s two title winning campaigns, playing a major role in both.
Philippe Coutinho
The majestic Brazilian might only be short in stature but what he lacks in height, he makes up for in technical ability.
One of the best passers and runners in the Premier League, the mercurial Brazilian has been a bright light in another wise disappointing season for Liverpool.
Coutinho would add to any team in the Premier League and it’s no surprise to see him included in this eleven.
Mesut Ozil
There’s no surprise seeing the impressive Ozil also in Pirlo’s side, after what has been his best season at Arsenal since joining from Real Madrid.
The midfielder has finally found the form that the Arsenal fans were used to seeing from the German international during spells at previous clubs.
He has been central to many of Arsenal’s goal scoring opportunities this season, and if Arsenal are to complete the season by lifting the Premier League title, Ozil will be the one playing a major role in making that happen.
Alexis Sanchez
Yet another Arsenal player that can change the game with a clever flick or run. Arsene Wenger will be pleased to have the tricky Chilean available and match fit after injury.
The 27-year-old has become a firm fan favourite at the Emirates since arriving at the club from Barcelona.
With 22 goals in 47 appearances he is proving to be one of Arsene Wenger’s greatest additions during his time at the club.
Sergio Aguero
One of, if not the, greatest South American players to play in the Premier League, the striker has not looked back since joining Manchester City and its no surprise to see him in Pirlo’s lineup.
The 27-year-old wrote his name in the City history books as he scored the winner against QPR in the fourth minute of added time to lead City to their first league title in 44 years.
During his time with City he has made 188 appearances and scored on 124 occasions and will always remain in City fans hearts long after he leave the club, should he ever choose too.
