Our resident Tottenham Hotspur fans have been looking at the news filtering in from the Express, which claims Spurs are plotting a move for Addicks striker Ademola Lookman.
Lookman has been linked with a move to a host of Premier League club’s this season, following his impressive breakthrough season at The Valley.
In what has been an otherwise poor season for the Addicks – which saw theme relegated to League One – the 18-year-old striker has been a beacon of hope for the club’s bleak looking future.
With five goals this campaign and impressive performances, the striker has attracted plenty of attention from some of the Premier League’s big boy’s, most recently Tottenham Hotspur, who are looking for striking reinforcement’s after missing out on the Premier League title this season.
Despite being excellent all season, Spurs have at times relied too heavily on main man Harry Kane who is currently top of the race for the Golden Boot with 25 Premier League goals with one game to spare.
Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen have been the main alternative sources of goals with 28 between them. Without Kane in the side however, Maurico Pochhetinos side lack a genuine goal threat up top, with summer signing Clinton N’Jie failing to make his mark at White Hart Lane.
Ademola – part of the current England U-18 squad – would be a welcomed addition to White Hart Lane, however would certainly be a prospect for the future.
However, if Tottenham are to mount a serious title challenge next season; Kane needs reinforcements.

Michy Batshuayi
Reports suggest fellow Londoner’s West Ham United have made a club record bid for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, in an attempt to blow other club’s attempts to sign the 22-year-old this summer out the water.
If Spurs can beat the Hammers to the Belgian International’s signature however, they would be acquiring a true talent of world football; with the young striker having scored 22 times this season for Les Olympians.
Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian striker has been somewhat like a daisy in a field of weeds this season at Goodison Park.
The 22- year-old has been excellent all term again, notching 25 times and surpassing the 50 goal mark in the Premier League already.
It may be the time for the former Chelsea man to move on this summer however, with Everton being unable to provide the talent youngster with European football.
Spurs’ Champions League qualification may be able to seal a deal Lukaku come the end of the season.
Borja Baston
A chronic loan star, Borja Baston has had a fine season for this season’s La Liga surprise package Eibar.
The Atletico Madrid loanee has scored 17 times in the Spanish top flight this season, and has helped his club find themselves with reach of a top half finish for the first time in their history.
At only 23, the Spaniard has plenty of experience to his name and a proven record of scoring goals – with 22 in the previous campaign with his old club Zaragoza.
Gianluca Lapadula
Premier League Champions Leicester, Napoli and Barcelona are all said to be interested in signing Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula this summer, so Tottenham would have plenty to muscle with if they are to secure the 26 year old’s services.
With 24 goals in Serie B this season, the forward may be Italy’s answer to Jamie Vardy, with the former Parma man having spent much of his career on loan at lower league clubs – including third division side Teramo, who last year won the league only to have it stripped from them following match fixing charges.
Saido Berahino
After a fabulous debut season in the Premier League in which the England striker had scored 20 goals in all competitions for West Brom, it has all gone a bit wrong for Sadio Berahino.
The former Northampton Town striker has failed to reach the heights of the last campaign, scoring only 7 goals but creating more controversy than you can shake a stick at.
Out of form and out of shape, if Spurs can whip the youngster back into his best form however, they would certainly have one of English football’s best young talents at their dispense.
