Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern will be looking around the Premier League to see some alternatives to Alexis Sanchez.
With Chelsea entering the race for Sanchez, it seems that Conte is looking for a winger to relieve Eden Hazard, having the Belgian playing the majority of the matches this season. Although it looks likely the Chilean will join Jose Mourinho at Man United after Man City pulled out of the fight for his signature, this shouldn’t be seen as a blow over in west London.
Indeed, Chelsea will be looking to bolster their squad in a bid to keep in the running for all four competitions and avoid the early season threadbare team options that the Italian encountered.
Our regulars believe that Conte may just be entering the race to drive the price up so that arch-rivals Mourinho will have to pay more for Arsenals star man’s services. With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at two other Premier League wingers that the Italian should be turning his attention to this January…
Wilfried Zaha

The former Man United winger has really hit top form this season, as Crystal Palace have turned their fortunes around and Zaha has played an integral part in this upward trajectory.
After his ill-fated time at Old Trafford, Zaha will have a point to prove as he seeks another move to a big club to push his personal career on. Should Chelsea make a move for the winger, Conte will have a wide man who can provide pace, skill and direct attacking play that will provide something different for Conte to use.
Riyad Mahrez

The Leicester City winger has, this season, rediscovered the form that helped the Foxes lift the Premier League title a couple of seasons ago. In Mahrez, Conte will have a Premier League winner and a player that knows what it takes to win the big trophies.
The former PFA Player of the Year will again, like Zaha, provide pace and skill on the counter-attack alongside grabbing many goals and assists himself which can only add to the goals of Hazard and Morata.
