Wolverhampton Wanderers fans here in the Tavern are hoping their side can rediscover the incredible form shown in months gone by, as they head into the business end of the season.
Wolves have been an unstoppable force in the Championship so far this season, as Nuno Espirito Santo has the Wolf Pack heading for a well-deserved promotion back to the Premier League. Indeed, Molineux has produced some rather hostile environments in years gone by, but the introduction of fan favourite Jeff Shi and an influx of Portuguese brilliance finally has our local residents living in dreamland at the top of the table.
Indeed, after welcoming owners Fosun International to Molineux back in the summer of 2016, new hope was offered to a Wolverhampton Wanderers side that’d just struggled to a 14th place finish in the Championship. Although, it wasn’t until the most recent summer transfer window that Wolves made full use of their ties with Jorge Mendes, as the boys from the Black Country completed their club-record signing of former Porto captain Ruben Neves.
And, Wolves have been linked to some of the world’s best ever since then, with AC Milan striker Andre Silva being one of the targets on the club’s list for the summer. Although, the Midlands club should take their search elsewhere for a prolific goalscorer, as the 22-year-old has struggled to make it into the Rossoneri’s side so far this season.
Therefore, here’s a look at TWO strikers that Wolves could look to bring to Molineux in the summer…
Vincent Aboubakar

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in Portugal, having netted an incredible 26 goals so far this season. And, arguably the most impressive thing about the magic he’s produced this campaign is that five of these goals have come in the Champions League, a stat that could be of benefit to Wolves in the near future.
Indeed, the Cameroon international operates as a target man at the pinnacle of the attack, but also has a deceiving amount of pace at his disposal that’s caused defenders all sorts of problems so far this season.
Nevertheless, bringing the striker to Molineux in the summer would be a sensible decision by the club, having seen the brilliance of former teammate Ruben Neves so far this season. And, after being linked with the forward over the past six months, it’s safe to say that this would now be a rather achievable deal with the possible attraction of Premier League football.
Nabil Fekir

Nabil Fekir has dominated proceedings over in France so far this season as arguably one of the most exciting products in the Ligue 1, whose ability is on a similar level to teen sensation of Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman officially operates as an attacking midfielder but performances this season have seen him push forward into a false 9 position, something that’s served Wolves well with Diogo Jota at the pinnacle of their attack at times this season. And, his goalscoring record just goes to show why he’s one of the most highly-rated attackers in world football, having produced 21 goals and manufactured six assists for his teammates.
Therefore, with Wolves looking to secure the services of a prolific goalscorer if they achieve promotion to the Premier League, Nabil Fekir can guarantee goals in abundance having proved himself on a European and domestic stage.
