Forget Ramsey: Chelsea should target 1 of these 2 Arsenal players instead

Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking to go back to their new feeder club and handpick a couple more of their players in the summer.

Chelsea signed Olivier Giroud from Arsenal in the winter window after having bids turned down for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer, with the Blues set to go in again for another Gunners player – Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey has just over a year left on his contract and with Arsenal’s recent history of letting players run down their contracts to the final knockings, our regulars think that Chelsea could swoop in for the Welshman and strengthen their own midfield in the process.

However, some of the punters believe that Chelsea shouldn’t be just looking at Ramsey in the Arsenal squad, and with Chelsea’s possible lure of some type of European football next season, it could be enough to bring yet more Gunners to Stamford Bridge.

Our landlord takes a look at TWO players Conte should be going for this summer…

Alexandre Lacazette

The French striker could follow his former club teammate and fellow international Oliver Giroud to the Blue side of London, Lacazette’s game time is set to decrease further with the big fee arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Indeed, Chelsea desperately need a striker and one that is already accustomed to the Premier League would be a bonus in itself. How he would adapt to life at Stamford Bridge we don’t know but making a move for the striker would make sense to our regulars, with the Frenchman feeding off the likes of Eden Hazard and Pedro a mouth-watering notion.

Jack Wilshere

If Chelsea are in for Ramsey, they should also be considering soon to be out of contract Jack Wilshere also. If Conte can get the England man fit and give him a run of games, it could be one of the best signings in recent times for the Blues.

Wilshere is a talent, no doubt. However, his poor history of injuries has let him down massively gaining any type of momentum. If the Italian can fix that, they would have one hell of a player on their hands.
