Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are rightly concerned about what could happen to their club in the final day of the transfer window today.
The Gunners have not had the best time of things these last few days and there is a likelihood that things could get worse with the future of Alexis Sanchez in doubt.
Indeed, should he leave, the club would be seeing him follow Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out of the door and, though many fans would like to see all that money reinvested, it seems as though the Gunners might not even bother trying to sign anyone else this summer.
Indeed, that’s according to Sky Sports who, on their transfer centre today (10:39,) have suggested that the club is happy with the business that they have done so far in terms of players arriving.
For sure, then, that suggests that they are not really on the look out for anyone else in what is likely set to come as an annoying piece of news to many Arsenal fans who would have been hoping for some late deals.
Landlord’s Verdict
After a pretty shaky start to proceedings it would have made sense for the Gunners to go for some late deals in the window but it seems as though they are going to try and crack on with what they have.
Whether or not that comes back to bite them remains to be seen but you can imagine many Arsenal fans won’t be too impressed.
