Sadly, the Belgian international is in the final year of his Parkhead contract and could leave for free next summer.
The Cottagers had a £9 million bid for Boyata rejected in August, and it’s thought that the London club remain interested in signing the 27-year-old for a lower fee in the next transfer window.

Indeed, the Belgian has been sensational for the Hoops this season and was a hit at the World Cup back in the summer months, so it comes as no surprise that Fulham are preparing a fresh bid.
The defender has been eyeing a move away from Scotland for some time now, with the January transfer window providing him with the perfect opportunity to push through a move to the Premier League.
Although, Rodgers will need to offload the central defender in January if he is to receive any funds for him, with his contract set to run out at the end of the season.
