If you haven’t already, make sure you check out Rio Ferdinand’s Twitter account. The man alone is worth having Twitter for.
In yet another hilarious set of outbursts, the United centre-back has found himself in a lengthy argument with ITV talk-show host Piers Morgan.
Morgan started the row by insisting Rio should concentrate on how he will stop Arsenal’s Samir Nasri and Robin Van Persie in United’s upcoming fixture against the Gunners rather than wasting his time on Twitter.
Morgan tweeted:
“RT @rioferdy5 How many times are Nasri and Van Persie going to embarrass you on Monday night old man?”
To which Ferdinand replied:
“The twitfam ask better questions than u @piersmorgan on your shows!! CNN should employ the Twitfam!!”
The conversation then began to get heated with some hilarious jibes. Rio tweeted:
“Last question tweeps:why does @piersmorgan make all his guests cry?Is it coz he bores em 2 tears or is it the renowned paint stripper breath”
To which Morgan responded:
“That’s quite funny for you Rio, did someone else write it?”
My favourite line then followed from Ferdinand himself in which he retorted:
“@piersmorgan no 1 writes 4 me unlike u on your (scripted)shows!”
What followed was a barrage of insults about Ferdinand’s grammar and a suggestion from Morgan that Ferdinand should come on ITV’s Life Stories, given he was man enough not to “blub like a baby.”
Make sure you check out the whole row @piersmorgan and @rioferdy5.
You won’t regret it, Rio regularly makes my day.
