Rangers fans here in the Tavern are looking forward to the summer transfer window, as a number of underperforming players could be heading for the exits.
Graeme Murty’s future continues to be surrounded with doubt as the Bluenoses look to be taking a step backwards under the Englishman. Indeed, Dave King will definitely have one eye on a managerial change in the summer months, as Rangers have looked rather flat at times in the current campaign.
Interestingly, a contender to become Rangers’ new manager is Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. Of course, this is a move that shocked many of our local residents here in the Tavern, as he offers very little managerial experience having only managed in the youth ranks at Liverpool.
However, not even a new manager can save some of the Bluenoses’ players from an inevitable exit in the summer transfer window, as their days at Ibrox are numbered.
Therefore, these TWO Rangers stars simply don’t have a future at Ibrox…
Bruno Alves
The Portuguese veteran has certainly had his troubles in the current campaign, as he’s regularly visited the treatment table and continues to deliver error-ridden performances on the field.
Indeed, a summer transfer window exit is inevitable after single-handedly costing the side valuable points on a couple of occasions, as his age is beginning to show on the pitch.
Sadly, he looks to be living out his final days at Ibrox with very little to show for his efforts, as he may be one of the club’s summer departures.
Lee Hodson
Graeme Murty has always tried to give everyone a fair chance in his side so far this season, but Lee Hodson looks to be the only acception. Sadly for the Englishman, he’s only managed to feature in a small amount of games and this figure doesn’t look like improving anytime soon.
Indeed, the 26-year-old constantly finds himself on the fringes of the first team, playing second fiddle at left-back to Declan John. And, with Lee Wallace also fully fit after suffering from an injury a while back, it looks as if the Northern Ireland international may have his career cut short at Ibrox.
