A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have reacted with excitement to transfer reports linking them with a move for Bordeaux striker Josh Maja.
According to Get French Football News (@GFFN) on Twitter [via Glasgow Live], the ‘Gers are set to open talks with the Ligue 1 club next week over a possible move for the 21-year-old, who struck eight goals for Les Girondins in the 2019/20 season.

The youngster already has experience of British football, having joined Bordeaux from Sunderland, where he scored 17 times in 49 appearances.

The transfer links with Maja come at the same time that one of Steven Gerrard’s current strikers is being linked with a move away from Ibrox. Sky Sports have claimed that Alfredo Morelos, the club’s top scorer last season with 29 goals, has agreed personal terms with Lille, who are now trying to negotiate a fee for the 24-year-old.
