A number of Glasgow Rangers fans were hugely impressed with Allan McGregor‘s “unreal” performance in their 4-0 Europa League qualifying win over Willem II last night.
The 38-year-old goalkeeper was recalled to the starting line-up for just his third appearance of the season and kept a clean sheet as well as making several fine saves.
He impressively thwarted Che Nunnely shortly before half-time with the score at 2-0 and excellently denied Gorkem Saglam right at the start of the second half (as per Sky Sports). Another save in the closing minutes of the match rounded off a magnificent night for the Ibrox veteran, who “more than justified his return to the team” in the words of Glasgow Live reporter Robert Fairnie.

McGregor is an Ibrox icon with 354 appearances for the club but has had to play second fiddle to summer signing Jon McLaughlin in the Premiership this season, his last league game coming on the opening day against Aberdeen.
These ‘Gers fans on Twitter hailed the performance of the 38-year-old in Tilburg last night:
4-0 away in Holland is a fantastic result! Ryan Kent is becoming a massive player for us. Special mention for Allan McGregor as well- he's still got it. Bring on Galatasaray!
