Glasgow Rangers: Fans rejoice at signing of Kemar Roofe

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have enthusiastically welcomed the “incredible” signing of Kemar Roofe from Anderlecht this afternoon.

The ‘Gers announced via their official website that they have completed the signing of the 27-year-old on a four-year deal for an undisclosed transfer fee, with the news also shared on their official Twitter channel @RangersFC.

Roofe hit seven goals in 16 games in an injury-plagued season for Anderlecht in 2019/20 but has a good track record in British football, having scored 33 times in 122 appearances for Leeds and netted 31 goals in 65 games for Oxford.

His arrival provides a timely boost to Steven Gerrard’s centre-forward options at Ibrox, with Jermain Defoe currently out injured and last season’s top scorer Alfredo Morelos strongly linked with a £17m move to Lille, as per Football Insider.
