Rangers: Fans delighted with club gesture

Rangers, like everyone else, will be hoping the pandemic that has swept across the planet will come to an end sooner rather than later.

It has stopped almost all walks of life, including football – the last match in the Scottish top tier was on March 11th, when St. Mirren beat Hearts 1-o at home. Since then, it has been about survival for many across the globe.

Steven Gerrard and the players have already done their bit – they have all taken wage deferrals until June to help the club through this difficult time. Now, it would seem they have come up trumps again. The club has confirmed that the manager and his players have come together to purchase iPads for patients at a hospice in Glasgow so that they can stay in contact with friends and family.

As you can imagine, the club’s supporters are delighted with the initiative – one even called it a “cracking gesture” – and they have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
