Whilst his loan spell at Hibernian may have been short, Glasgow Rangers’ Greg Docherty certainly impressed.
The 23-year-old made the short-term move to Easter Road in January after making just six appearances for the Gers during the first half of the season. In the end, he was only able to make eight appearances in all competitions for Hibs, but that didn’t stop him contributing three goals and five assists.

His time at Hibernian has now come to an end, it seems. The Edinburgh outfit have confirmed that several of their loan signings have now left the club, and Docherty is amongst them. This has led to the midfielder himself sharing a tweet, thanking everyone at the club.

Many of the Gers supporters have reacted to his post, as well, and they have taken the opportunity to share their thoughts. Indeed, it seems quite a few believe it is time he is given a proper chance at Ibrox under Steven Gerrard – understandably so given his stats from his short spell away.

Hopefully you get a chance in our midfield. Plenty of the MF’s after xmas let’s us done while you were flourishing at Hibs! God knows what you need to do to get back in to the team. Fittest person in pre season by a mile. I’ll be gutted if you leave without being gave a chance!
