Scottish football appears to be at something of a crossroads, and the current situation may have been created by Glasgow Rangers.
The current pandemic has wreaked havoc across the planet, and that led to the suspension of the Scottish Premiership season. As such, the clubs in the top four tiers voted on how the end of the campaign should proceed, but the saga involving Dundee led the Gers to accuse the SPFL of corruption, even demanding an independent investigation into the governing body. Only 12 other sides believed that a probe was needed, but important questions were still asked.

Reconstruction of the league pyramid also appears to be on the table, with Hearts owner Ann Budge in particular pushing for a mix-up. There have been rumours that her plans will be voted against, which has led to her claiming that the voting system is not fit for purpose.

This has led to the Gers fans reacting in numbers. Some appear to agree with her – likely because their own club have lost a vote recently – but others appear to feel that she is now going too far. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

Doing the same thing over and over is the definition of insanity. Stop it Ann. Nobody wants your poxy reconstruction/rescue plan.

You can’t just change the voting system when the vote doesn’t go your way, or ask the “leaders” to approve something that has been rejected 🙈
