Glasgow Rangers: Fans angry at club update on MyGers membership

There have been plenty of new commercial announcements at Glasgow Rangers over the last few days and weeks.

The ‘Gers have recently confirmed that Castore will manufacture their kits from next season. The club’s deal with Hummel has recently come to an end and they have since put pen to paper a five-year contract worth £25m with the Liverpool-based company.

They have also commenced a new membership scheme called MyGers, which will offer more rewards to supporters who sign up. They have teamed up with Molton Brown, a cosmetics company, and fans will receive special offers for their products.

Some ‘Gers supporters don’t seem overly happy, though, if the comments to a tweet from the club’s liaison officer Greg Marshall is anything to go by. He explained to MyGers members that an e-mail has been sent out with links to Molton Brown products and a few supporters were slightly irritated, to say the least.
