The summer window isn’t going to plan for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern.
At all.
Indeed, there’s a huge frustration amongst our resident Kopites as the club struggle to bring in more players and it seems the problems aren’t only on the recruitment front.
Star man Philippe Coutinho has been touted as a potential target for Barcelona for much of the summer and, today, that saga took a twist. Firstly, reports emerged suggesting the 25-year-old had handed in a transfer request in order to force through a move.
However, that wasn’t the end of it. There were then claims that story was wide of the mark and that he wasn’t trying to force through a move to the Camp Nou, where he could replace compatriot Neymar.
All of this came after FSG released a statement stating the Brazilian international was definitely not for sale, so it’s fair to say it’s been a busy day for the resident Reds in the Tavern.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter.

That's it, send the city's gangsters in. Threaten to knee cap Coutinho like they did with Gerrard when he nearly joined Chelsea….. #LFC

Having this feeling that Coutinho doesn't really want to leave. FSG are trying to force him out for profit fooling both us and Klopp #LFC
