“Give United our three points too” – Man United fans react to FA’s Bournemouth ruling (not Mings or Zlatan)

The FA’s ruling on Bournemouth has the Transfer Tavern’s Manchester United patrons up in arms for the second time this week.

Yesterday, the FA took retrospective action on defender Tyrone Mings for his apparent stamp on Red Devils striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, issuing a five-match ban that many in the Tavern felt was a light punishment considering the damage he could have caused the Swedish front-man.

And in a very dramatic week at the Vitality Stadium, the Cherries have felt the FA’s wrath once again for breaching anti-doping regulations, regarding to ‘Club Whereabouts’ information. Eddie Howe’s side have been fined £35k and warned of their future conduct.

Seemingly still holding a grudge against the plucky south coast club, roundly praised for stabilising themselves in the Premier League since gaining promotion from the Championship, Manchester United fans on Twitter have been quick to put the boot in.

Some claim United deserve three points for the breach in regulations as Bournemouth’s most recent opponents, others are simply mocking the Cherries and a few have even declared double-standards – harking back to Rio Ferdinand’s suspension in 2004.
