The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely delighted with recent reports surrounding star forward Roberto Firmino.
According to the Telegraph, Liverpool want to reward Firmino with a new long-term deal at Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp clearly very impressed with the Brazilian’s fine form.
He enjoyed a mixed spell at Anfield following his arrival, but under Jurgen Klopp, the Brazilian has really taken his game to another level. Utilised as Liverpool’s first choice forward this term, Firmino has enjoyed a fantastic spell. He has already bagged 9 goals and 4 assists, marking him – alongside Mohamed Salah – as one of Liverpool’s most efficient attackers.
Where he really shines, though, is with his link-up play. He’s one of the most technically gifted attackers in the Premier League, and that really shows with the influence he has in nearly every Liverpool attack.
A new deal for him, then, makes a lot of sense – with Liverpool clearly keen to prepare for the future.
Unsurprisingly, the Liverpool fans over on the Liverpool Reddit page have been reacting to the news, and it’s fair to say that they are very happy.
