Glasgow Rangers have confirmed that Robby McCrorie has joined Livingston on loan for the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership campaign.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper spent the previous season on loan, firstly with Queen of the South and then Livingston. After conceding nine goals in eight matches and keeping two clean sheets, the latter have decided that they want to take him back for the entirety of the 2020/21 campaign.
This is a move which probably makes sense for all involved. McCrorie will now get some much-needed playing time, which he would probably struggle to obtain at Ibrox with Allan McGregor and now Jon McLaughlin ahead of him in the pecking order, whilst the ‘Gers can now see him develop and potentially blossom into a shot-stopper who could challenge for the number one shirt in the future.
