Glasgow Rangers: Gers braced for Morelos bid and will look to sign two strikers

As per Football Insider, Glasgow Rangers will look to sign two new strikers this summer as the future of Alfredo Morelos remains in question.

Morelos has been linked with a move away from Ibrox recently, with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund said to be in pursuit.

Now, it is being reported that the club are expecting offers for their star asset this summer, with one top Premier League club ready to make an approach when the transfer window officially opens.

The speculation surrounding the Colombia international refuses to go away, and you can see why given his form whilst at the 54-time Scottish champions since signing for £1.08m in 2017. All in all, he has 77 goals in 137 games, and scored 29 in the previous campaign alone.

It is hard for any club north of the border to keep hold of their truly top talents for too long, which could well see him depart this summer – if they are able to get a £15m fee for the 24-year-old, Ross Wilson and co can hardly complain, not only because that would see them receive a large sum for one of their attacking talents, but also because it then gives them the scope to strengthen.

Ivan Toney, Lyndon Dykes and Florian Kamberi have all been heavily mentioned, and £15m could even give Steven Gerrard the chance to look at other players that would otherwise be unrealistic targets. Morelos’ departure, therefore, could be a blessing in disguise.
