Glasgow Rangers and the rest of Scottish football have been in turmoil over the past few months.
The suspension of football and a worldwide pandemic was always going to be a difficult period to navigate, but the way the SPFL handled the league resolution proposal led to the ‘Gers accusing the governing body of corruption, whilst Hearts pushed for a reconstruction of the footballing pyramid following their premature relegation to the Championship.

The financial pressures on clubs are clear for all to see, so much so that the SFA have had to agree a deal with the Close Brothers in regards to securing loans for those struggling the most.

This has led to plenty of reaction from ‘Gers supporters and they do not appear too happy with the news – they see this as another example of SPFL chief Neil Doncaster lying, with them claiming he said that such loans were not possible. Clubs are set to see much needed revenue when money from the new Sky deal begins to drop into accounts at the beginning of August once the season commences.
