Glasgow Rangers: Fans hammer Michael Stewart comments

We are now 11 games into the 2020/21 season and Glasgow Rangers are still unbeaten.

The Gers have won seven and drawn two of their first nine matches in the Premiership, whilst they have scored 10 and conceded none in their two Europa League wins so far this term. Their latest victory came in the domestic competition, with them beating Motherwell 5-1 at Fir Park thanks to braces from James Tavernier and Cedric Itten and a goal for Jordan Jones.

The Ibrox outfit were actually awarded two penalties in the match, with Tavernier converting both. However, Sportscene pundit Michael Stewart was far from happy with the decision for one of the spot kicks, slamming referee Bobby Madden for pointing to the spot, whilst also saying that the hosts should have had a penalty of their own.

Many ‘Gers supporters, as you can imagine, were far from happy with his comments – some have had issues with Stewart in the past, too. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts – one fan even called him a “bitter, bitter man” – and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
