According to Football Insider, Bournemouth have moved ahead of Glasgow Rangers in the race for Ivan Toney.
The Gers are interested in the striker, and were believed to be in a strong position themselves.

Now, though, it appears that Bournemouth are in pole position to capture the services of the 24-year-old striker.
The Gers are previously said to have held preliminary talks with the Peterborough man, so this is a blow to the Gers’ chances of signing the League One player. He was in fantastic form in the third tier of English football last term, scoring 24 goals in 32 matches, and he is a player that would add plenty to Steven Gerrard’s side.
Posh are said to be looking for £8m for the player’s services which, as a Premier League side, the Cherries would surely have no qualms in paying, but plenty will rest on whether they can survive this term amongst the elite – as it stands, they are three points adrift of Watford, who are in 17th place.

The Gers will no doubt be hoping the south coast side get relegated, meaning that not only will their spending power be reduced, but they will also be playing at a lower level than the Gers themselves. It is not over for the 54-time Scottish champions yet.
