France Football (via Get French Football News) say that Glasgow Rangers have made several enquiries for Amiens midfielder Bongani Zungu.

Zungu has already revealed that he wants to leave his current side following their relegation to Ligue 2.
RCD Mallorca were said to have made an approach back in January, and the 27-year-old still has interest from Spain, but Gerrard has made various enquiries after being told about the player’s ability. Amiens are said to want €2m (£1.8m) to €3m (£2.7m) for the player also targetted by Strasbourg.

This past campaign was not the best for Zungu, just like the rest of his side. He made 10 starts during the Ligue 1 term, and managed an average WhoScored rating of just 6.24. However, his performances in the past give plenty of indication that he could be an interesting option for Steven Gerrard should he be able to take him to Ibrox.
A strong defensive midfielder, the £1.44m-valued man – as per Transfermarkt – has averaged 1.7 tackles per game throughout his career, whilst he has also managed 1.2 inteceptions. His displays at the 2019 African Cup of Nations, in particular, caught the eye, with him scoring twice in four games on his way to a 7.15 average WhoScored rating.
Would you like to sign Bongani Zungi?

No
The South Africa international is a player with plenty of top-tier experience both in France and Portugal, and is set to enter his peak years. There may already be plenty of competition in the Gers’ midfield, but Zungu may be able to bring a little bit of extra steel. It remains to be seen whether he makes the move to Glasgow.
