Rangers will be desperate to build on their last Scottish Premiership fixture as they thumped Motherwell 7-1 in front of home support at Ibrox.
The Bluenoses have certainly come on leaps and bounds under Steven Gerrard and remain in the title hunt at this moment in time, but they will face an uphill task to qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Interestingly, Rangers will welcome Livingston to Ibrox in their next Scottish Premiership fixture. The Lions will be looking for a repeat of their last meeting with the Bluenoses as they secured a 1-0 win on matchday 7, but Gerrard will do everything he possibly can do avoid this happening again.
With that in mind, Gerrard must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO Rangers players…
EROS GREZDA
Eros Grezda struggled to find his feet towards the start of his time in Scotland but he now finally appears to be grinding out consistent performances in the famous blue shirt. The winger managed to grab a brace against Motherwell prior to the international break and impressed while on international duty with Albania.
So, with the Bluenoses desperate to enjoy a positive run of form in the weeks leading up until Christmas, perhaps Gerrard should look to give Grezda a run in the side.
GARETH MCAULEY
Gareth McAuley has suffered with an injury since moving to Scotland but finally made his debut for the club against Spartak Moscow in the Europa League recently, and then went on to make an appearance against Motherwell.
The central defender looked rather impressive against Austria while on international with Northern Ireland recently, so it’s safe to say that his injury worries and fitness troubles are behind him.
Therefore, with Gerrard still yet to identify a settled central defensive partnership at Rangers this season, perhaps the 38-year-old’s return will help the Bluenoses ensure solidity at the back.
