Crystal Palace supporters in the Transfer Tavern are somewhat torn over the latest announcement from the club.
Following the controversial appointment of Roy Hodgson as Frank De Boer’s successor, Crystal Palace have made adjustments to their backroom staff.
Ray Lewington has followed Hodgson to Palace, becoming their new assistant manager. Consequently, the club has announced that Orlando Trustfull, Sammy Lee and Ryland Morgans have since departed the club.
Orlando Trustfull followed De Boer to Crystal Palace this summer, while Lee and Morgans were both recruited when Sam Allardyce was appointed the Eagles’ new boss.
In addition to these departures, Steven Reid has been acquired as another addition to the backroom staff – he has boasts experience in a similar role, having been on Reading’s backroom staff.
Our resident Palace fans are still of the opinion that Frank De Boer’s sacking was harsh, yet they’re hopeful that results will improve under Hodgson.
Here’s how the Palace fans have taken to the news on Twitter.
Gutted about Sammy Lee leaving SE25! Worked wonders alongside Big Sam. Welcome to SE25 @stevenreid12

I like Sammy Lee a lot. But if his job was to be conduit between manager and players he did a terrible job. #noroomforsentiment #cpfc
