The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a story in Le10Sport about their manager, Pep Guardiola. The story claims that PSG have enquired about the Spaniard’s availability in recent weeks as Unai Emery is destined to be cut from the Paris club in summer after failing to deliver in European competition. The story claims that City have told PSG that Guardiola has no intentions of leaving Manchester so soon after being appointed.

Pep Guardiola has turned Manchester City into a winning machine. The only club to have faced City this season and not get beaten are Wigan in an FA Cup meeting, although with that blip aside, Guardiola’s men have taken three points off of every team in the Premier League at least once and continue to steamroll through Europe. The Citizens face Liverpool tonight at Anfield in the first leg of their quarter-final tie against Jurgen Klopp’s men.
A number of fans claimed that Guardiola wouldn’t be able to cut it in the Premier League after last season he suffered his first full year in management without winning silverware. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss soon rectified that though, as he stormed to League Cup victory and only needs a single win to ensure the Premier League title returns to The Etihad. However, the City fans will have their eyes on the biggest prize, The Champions League trophy as a number of fans across Europe have made them favourites to win it given the quality of football that Guardiola has them playing.
With that in mind, here’s our resident Sky Blues’ verdict on PSG’s Guardiola enquiry:
