The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been urging their club to sell Alex Iwobi this summer. The Nigerian winger hasn’t lived up to the hype that surrounded him when he broke into the club’s first-team and after he bowed out of the World Cup yesterday, fans are prepared to cut their losses.
Arsenal will be looking forward to the new season when it begins in just over months time. The fans have been looking forward to seeing a new look side take to the pitch under Unai Emery, although they’ll be hoping that Iwobi isn’t part of the club anymore when they do take to the pitch for their opening Premier League fixture at home to Manchester City.
The club currently employ both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Danny Welbeck who can be deployed on the wing, although they have no faith in Iwobi and will want to see a new winger signed before the end of the window to replace the Nigerian winger. The club will have a number of suitors for Iwobi if they do opt to sell him his summer and if they do offload him the fans will have cause to celebrate.

The Arsenal fans in the Tavern will be keen to get Iwobi off their wage bill as soon as possible as they don’t see the benefit of keeping him at The Emirates.
