The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are still down in the dumps about their FA Cup final loss. Indeed, the punters propping up our bar can’t believe the manner in which they lost to Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday and are fuming about the fact they’re without a trophy this season.
Now, our resident Red Devils only want to look ahead to next season. With Jose Mourinho still struggling to convince in charge of United, it’s a big summer for all involved at Old Trafford.
Well, while it’s barely a big money signing, news posted on the club’s official website has gone down well. They’ve revealed that the club have come to an agreement with young Ethan Galbraith, who has been snapped penning his first professional deal alongside academy manager, Nicky Butt.
The midfielder helped the club win the Under-18 Premier League North title during his first season on their books and has now agreed to extend his stay, no doubt hoping to follow Scott McTominay into the first-team over the coming months and years.
We are delighted to announce that Under-18s midfielder @EthanGalbraith4 has signed his first professional contract with #MUFC. Congrats, Ethan!
