Hector Bellerin’s improvement hasn’t been missed by Arsenal fans

Hector Bellerin took to the pitch as he usually does over the weekend as he helped Arsenal to a third successive win this season at St James Park. The Spanish full-back has looked better and more secure at the back under Unai Emery and the fans are keen for it to continue.

Arsenal are yet to keep a clean sheet this season and whilst they’re looking better and better at the back, a first clean sheet of the campaign continues to elude Bellerin and co. They were so close to getting their first against Newcastle at St James Park on Saturday but Ciaran Clark spoiled the party with his 91st-minute header. Next up for Arsenal is Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League and Emery will be keen to get a clean sheet there.

Whether they’re keeping the opposition out or not, the important thing is getting three points on the board and whilst they’ve managed that in their last three games, things will only get tougher as the season draws on. That’s why the supporters are so delighted with Bellerin. Whatever’s going on in training is obviously helping the Spaniard and having a figure like Stephan Lichtsteiner to learn from will always help, the key now is to hold his form and keep the level of performance to a maximum.
