Every other conversation between Liverpool and Crystal Palace fans seems to centre around Mamadou Sakho here in the Transfer Tavern of late, with the defender putting in some stellar performances for the Eagles.
Indeed, the France international has been a big hit since his winter loan move to the south of London, and although it took him a while to get up to full fitness after being annexed from the Reds’ first-team plans, his six matches for Sam Allardyce have yielded five wins and four clean sheets.
Palace fans want to keep him, while Liverpool fans seem to want him back, so Jurgen Klopp’s press conference ahead of the weekend trip to West Brom was being watched closely here with everyone aware that the German would be quizzed on Sakho’s future…

The Reds boss gave an interesting update, too, revealing that there is no clause in place allowing the Selhurst Park outfit to keep him for a set fee, opening the door for an Anfield return.
