The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have hugely enjoyed the club’s work in the market this summer.
With Jose Mourinho having seriously strengthened his first-team through the signings of Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku, our resident Red Devils are also happy to see the club make moves on the youth front.
Following the recent signings of Arnau Puigmal and Largie Ramazani, our United-mad punters are pleased to see the club making moves to continue their proud tradition of developing their younger ranks.
Indeed, there have been some promising comments posted on the club’s official website on the pair. Talking to MUTV, U18 coach Kieran McKenna has been giving rave reviews about his young players.
On Puigmal, a young midfielder, who has joined from Espanyol, McKenna has been waxing poetic about the Spaniard, who looks every inch a United player in the making.
“He’s a really dynamic, technical midfield player who likes to drive forward and carry the ball”, he said.
”He can handle the ball really well and seems a lovely young man too. His English is coming along and he’s settling well, so I am sure he’ll enjoy his time at the club.”
Meanwhile, on Ramazani, McKenna has hinted United could have yet another exciting winger in the making.
“He is very two-footed and likes to score goals. He has a bubbly personality and usually has a smile on his face around the place. He is one of the younger ones but I am sure he can do very well.”
As you can imagine, such comments have gone down very well indeed.
Landlord’s Verdict:
Though Mourinho isn’t the most renowned manager when it comes to bringing through young players, the talent he could soon have available may make life difficult if he opts not to.
Hugely promising to see United strengthening all areas.
Thoughts?
