Chelsea’s academy is full of talent, yet more often than not, the best individuals within the group will often not get a chance at Stamford Bridge. They’re regularly shipped out on loan or left to stagnate within the developmental ranks, and that’s a big problem for the club.
Instead, Chelsea will often look to sign top-class talent instead, with an eye on immediate success rather than a chance of success in the future.
Perhaps, then, it might be time for the Blues to buck the trend. They’ve got plenty of young attacking talents in their academy that could be just as influential as Higuain over the next few years.
With that said, here are 2 talented Chelsea youngsters that Sarri should use instead…
Tammy Abraham is well known at Stamford Bridge, and for good reason.
He was sensational during his time in the club’s developmental academy, whilst he continued his fine form on loan at Bristol City in the Championship.
A move to Swansea City last season proved to be slightly more difficult for him, but he didn’t perform too poorly given the circumstances.
Most would argue that he doesn’t have the experience, but what Abraham does have is an eye for a goal, and that’s something that can’t be taught.
When playing alongside some of Chelsea’s more talented players, he’s sure to be more prolific.
Daishawn Redan is a fairly new face at Chelsea, but he’s got incredible talent.
He moved to Chelsea in 2017, and he’s been a crucial part of the fold at Stamford Bridge ever since.
Redan bagged 4 goals in 8 games in the under-18 Premier League last season, and whilst he’s certainly raw, the young Dutchman has tremendous talent.
Like Abraham, he’s got a tremendous natural eye for a goal that could see him make the significant jump up with relative ease.
