The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot stop celebrating their win over Roma last night. Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has masterminded the club’s first route to the Champions League final since 2007, all while playing a wonderfully attacking brand of football.
Obviously, the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are likely to receive most of the plaudits, though the entirety of the team impressed over two legs against the Serie A giants. In fact, that’s quite an amazing thing to say, considering how their both defence and goalkeeper have been looked upon at times this season.
While Loris Karius isn’t perfect, the German was composed between the sticks over in the Italian capital, leading to many fans wondering why their club was so strongly linked with a move for his opposite number last night.
Roma stopper Alisson (who’s apparently rated at £62m by his employers) was previously touted with a hugely expensive move to Anfield, though did little to impress the fans on Twitter last night, who seriously questioned the Brazilian. With that in mind, here’s a closer look at the reaction.

When they say #alisson is the #messi of goalkeepers they mean he is about as good as Messi would be in goal #LFCROM #LFC @LFC

Tell you what, if #LFC are interested in Alisson, he’s not exactly giving a good account of himself in this shop window semi final. #ROMLIV
