The Tottenham Hotspur fans have been pondering what might have been in the Transfer Tavern since their 2-2 draw with Liverpool last Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side travelled to Anfield on Sunday to play in arguably their biggest fixture of the season so far. Following an incredibly dramatic 90 minutes, Harry Kane netted a last-gasp penalty to snatch a point for the Lilywhites just moments after Mo Salah appeared to hand Liverpool a huge victory in their bid to reach the top-four this season.
Kane had already missed a spot-kick in the 87th minute, so clearly the pressure was on for a variety of reasons when he eventually converted his 100th Premier League goal. However, Tottenham’s talisman made absolutely no mistake at the second attempt as he held his nerve and sent Karius the wrong way to score a priceless equaliser.
There were plenty of talking points to emerge in the aftermath of Tottenham’s draw with Liverpool, most of which related to refereeing decisions, but Kane’s 100th goal in the English top-flight was also a key topic of focus for fans and pundits alike.
Tottenham’s official Twitter page paid tribute to Kane following his achievement by posting a short video of the congratulations he received from both players and coaching staff in the dressing room at Anfield.

In response to the post, The Lilywhites faithful have turned out in their numbers to congratulate Kane on his achievement and urge the England international to continue his magnificent record for years to come.
The supporters will certainly be hoping that his first century of goals will be the first of many, but they appreciate that they will need to win a trophy in the near future if they wish to convince Kane to remain in North-London.
Here’s what the fans had to say about Kane in response to the club post…

There's no "I" in Team…Mr Kane, already a legend of Spurs. We MUST keep him for the new stadium. Please tell Real he's not for sale. It will increase ticket sales.
