If Conte starts these 2 Chelsea players tonight, Bournemouth are getting smashed to pieces

Our Chelsea fans here at the Transfer Tavern will be hoping to see if Chelsea can continue their march to secure a top-four finish.

Antonio Conte has looked a frustrated figure according to our regulars in the bar in recent weeks again following a rocky patch on the pitch, and another transfer window that has seemed to offer so much but so far not delivered.

The arrival of Ross Barkley has been much needed for a midfield that at the start of the season looked thin on the ground. However, the problem still remains, if Conte and his players are dealt with a couple more injury blows, Chelsea’s season could be over.

The reigning Premier League Champions are sitting pretty in third and look a shoe-in to claim a Champions League spot, although Conte cannot afford any slip-ups with Liverpool breathing down their necks. With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at two players that should start tonight against Bournemouth…

Ross Barkley

The new signing from Everton will be desperate to make his Premier League debut for the Blues tonight and having not played in the league so far this season, he should be eager to impress Conte. Barkley may still hold a chance in his mind of getting on the plane to Russia in the summer and our regulars think a fit Barkley would be a great addition to the squad.

The midfielder will be in need of a big performance tonight as he gets rid of the ring-rust.

Charly Musonda Jr

Charly Musonda could be used in a false nine as the search for a quality back up striker continues for Conte. Musonda has scored four and assisted four in his 12 matches across all competitions this season, and the 21-year-old, who is highly rated among our punters in the bar could be a sensation this season given the chance.

Conte has not been shy in giving youth a chance during his time at Chelsea, and this should be no different.
