Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting the appointment of their new manager so their summer transfer business can get underway.
Former captain Mikel Arteta was the favourite to replace Arsene Wenger, but now former PSG manager Unai Emery has emerged as a potential candidate for the job. The Spaniard has left the French club after completing the treble with his contract now expired. Should he move to the Emirates, he should raid his former club for their stars.

One man who has been linked heavily to Arsenal in the past is Julian Draxler – now could be the time to lure him to the Emirates. Valued at £36m by Transfermarkt, the German has had an indifferent spell in Paris. The signings of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar forced Draxler into a central midfield role, most coming on as a substitute.
He made just 19 starts in Ligue 1 last season and could see Arsenal as the perfect place to relaunch his career. The World Cup winner could be the ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez on the left wing. With excellent dribbling ability and an eye for a pass, Draxler would allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to flourish.
If given the job, Emery should make the 24-year-old his first signing at the club.
