Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping Jurgen Klopp can replace the possibly outgoing Emre Can with a couple of superstars to join the Reds revolution.
Emre Can has long been linked with a move to Juventus in the summer and, our regulars in the bar, will feel like it has got to be two big names to soften the blow. With Liverpool looking to challenge on a greater front possibly this season but definitely next season, Klopp’s recruitment has got to be on point.
Liverpool boss Klopp must lean on FSG a little more come the summer to land the two players many of our regulars think he needs to be pursuing in 2018.
With that in mind, our landlord takes a closer look at the two players in questions and sees how they could fit into a Reds team that has certainly gelled in recent months into a formidable force to be reckoned with…

The 20-year-old is currently flying high in the French League with Bordeaux, registering seven goals and 5 assists in his 19 appearances so far this season. The winger is sought after by a host of clubs, and Klopp would be foolish not to pull out all the stops to capture the Brazilian’s signature.
With Philippe Coutinho gone and Can potentially going the same route out of Liverpool, our regulars believe that Klopp needs to seriously strengthen his midfield.
Leon Goretzka

The Schalke 04 midfielder is out of contract in the summer and Liverpool alongside Bayern Munich have long been involved in a tug of war for his signature. The German midfielder has four goals to his name in his 11 appearances so far this season, and this type of goal-getting can only aid Liverpool’s attacking mindset and style of play.
Many of our punters believe it might be hard to tear the German away from the clutches of Munich but if Klopp can get him onside, this would be a fantastic signing.
