If Hodgson starts these 2 Crystal Palace stars tonight, West Ham will be dragged back into the relegation fight

Our Crystal Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to continue their escape from any type of relegation battle under Roy Hodgson.

The Eagles have been revitalised under former England manager Roy Hodgson as they currently sit mid-table and are looking likely according to our regulars, to stave off the threat of relegation. Winger Wilfried Zaha has been a sensation under Hodgson and one of the reasons the Eagles have taken so many points in recent months.

Facing one of their rivals in the bottom half of the table, who are also on the up under new man David Moyes, Palace will be hoping to seal the win early on and take some much-needed points of a team around them in the Premier League table if they want to be still in the league next season.

With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at two players Hodgson has to start in order to send West Ham back into the relegation dogfight…

Freddie Ladapo

The English striker has notched up 16 minutes of Premier League football this season as a substitute, but the former Margate man is a natural in front of goal and given the chance could burst onto the scene in big fashion.

With the Eagles averaging one goal per game in recent months, Hodgson would be foolish not to use a player that can play with no fear and has a history of finding the net.

Chung-Yong Lee

The former Bolton man can play on either wing or behind the front man but his preferred position is on the right wing, potentially adding another layer to Palace’s attack. Lee has made six appearances in total this season, three coming in the Premier League. Still, while, he has yet to register a goal as of yet but with Hodgson looking to secure Palace’s status in the League, all players are needed to help the cause.

A run out for Lee may revitalise the midfielder and aid Palace’s season.
