If Klopp lands these 2 attackers in January, Liverpool’s attack will be far more potent

Reds fans here in the Tavern are looking for some consistency, after becoming their own downfall too often this season.

Liverpool have enjoyed a pretty good season by their standards, in what has been one of the most competitive seasons for a Champions League spot in recent years.

Although things have been good on Merseyside, there is always room for improvement with a top 4 place still seeing them face stern competition from surrounding teams. Many of the club’s problems this campaign have been down to defensive issues once again, but even with these needing to be ironed out it won’t stop Jurgen Klopp from looking at attacking outlets.

Consequently, many Reds fans here in the Tavern have been worried about the possible departure of Philippe Coutinho, many of whom have turned their attention towards the January transfer window to look for a suitable replacement or simply just to bolster the squad.

Therefore, with there still being the opportunity to assert European dominance and a top 4 spot requiring extra efforts, it looks as if Klopp will look to try and draw these TWO stars to Anfield in order to ensure the job gets done.

Joaquin Correa

23-year-old Seville attacker Joaquin Correa has impressed during his first season in the Spanish top-flight, having scored and assisted multiple times for the Liga BBVA side.

After netting the equalizer at Anfield in an inspiring performance from the Argentinian, it looked as if he may face a similar fate to Fernando Torres after it was reported that the forward adopted the ‘you’ll never walk alone’ slogan after the game.

In what’s been a special first season in Spain, the South American would be a handy buy for the Merseyside club with pace and attacking intent being the two aspects that their current attack feeds off.

Julian Draxler

The Paris Saint-Germain attacker has been one of the hottest transfer topics over the past couple of years with Arsenal being one of the clubs to have a prolonged interest in the German, which is understandable when your one of your countries most promising talents.

However, he’s struggled to find his feet in the French capital due to the inseparable attack of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edison Cavani standing in his way, arguably one of the world’s strongest attacking lines.

Nevertheless, with Julian Draxler looking like he’ll be finding a new home in January, reports suggest that Anfield might just be that destination after the attacker is being offered the chance to move to Merseyside.
