If Mourinho persists with these 2 flops, Tottenham will batter Man United

Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern today are hoping that the Red Devils can pick up another three points against top-six opposition.

Jose Mourinho has the United bandwagon well and truly rolling this season, and if it wasn’t for Man City’s incredible season, our regulars can only see United being in full contention to win the League for the first time since Fergie retired. Indeed, our punters have watched United in the big games this season and are hoping for more of an Arsenal-like performance than a Liverpool-like one against a pacey and dangerous Tottenham side.

Jose Mourinho likes to play these type of games quite safe, however, the Red Devils can’t afford to let anything slip in their against the odds quest to hunt down rivals Man City. Our landlord takes a closer look at what two players Jose Mourinho needs to chop in order to gain the points…

Victor Lindelof

The Swedish defender is slowly adjusting to life in England and in the Premier League after a fairly difficult start to life on these shores. However, he still doesn’t look comfortable at all playing and is prone to a mistake or two that could cost United dearly against one of the best strikers in the world right now in Harry Kane.

While the Red Devils wait for the number one centre-back Eric Bailly to make a comeback from injury, Mourinho would be wise to use Lindelof in the lesser matches for now.

Marouane Fellaini

Although contract talks still seem to be stalling, Fellaini is still a fixture at Old Trafford much to the annoyance of the Reds in the bar. Fellaini has and will be a marmite player, some fans love the aggressive Plan B he can provide but many think it goes against everything United stands for.

Fellaini can cause a problem in the latter stages of the match if needed but to start with him would be a mistake against a fast Spurs side.
