The Hammers here in the Tavern are looking to continue to improve on things under their new manager David Moyes, after an early-season scare.
West Ham got off to the worst possible start this campaign after suffering an early-season relegation scare, but ever since former Manchester United manager David Moyes has taken charge of the club things look to be improving for the claret and blue.
Of course, even though Moyes has a pretty decent squad at his disposal he won’t be afraid to splash the cash in January, with room for improvement still being evident in their performances.
After bringing the likes of Steven Pienaar and Darren Gibson on his travels with him at previous clubs, let’s hope that those at the London Stadium don’t suffer the same fate.
However, after seeing many of the Scot’s previous signings, fans here in the Tavern are wary of who he may seek to acquire in January, with 2 quality attackers being the preferred option for the die-hard Hammers.
So without further ado, Moyes will look to provide the club with a promising first season in charge, with the help of these TWO signings in January.
Theo Walcott
The 28-year-old forward was once one of England’s most promising youngsters, and showed some of this ability during his earlier years at Arsenal but has fallen out of favour in recent times.
Having featured less than he would of expected so far this season, Arsene Wenger has only really seen fit to include him in the Europa League and cup competitions that are of lesser importance to the club, while producing an eyeopening 4+ goals and 5+ assists in these matches.
Reports in the Sun suggested that David Moyes is having a look at the possibility of securing a deal for the attacker, amid his nightmare in north London.
A partnership up top with Michail Antonio sounds deadly for the Hammers fans, with Theo’s electrifying pace proving a great combination for the hold-up play of the attacker.
Danny Ings
Former Burnley man Danny Ings can safely be regarded as the unluckiest player in Premier League football, after missing a combined 85 games during his time at Anfield.
After returning from injury in the summer months he’s struggled to get back into the Liverpool side after spending so much time out on the sideline, with match-fitness always an issue.
However, after netting in the U23’s squad since returning from injury, regular first-team football is now the main aim for the forward with reports in the Daily Star suggesting that West Ham are eyeing up a swoop for the out of favour Liverpool man. A move that would benefit both parties.
